ARTivity on the Green, the city’s first public art park, will have its grand opening on Saturday, May 9th, from 2-5 PM. Located on Liberty Street between 6th and 7th streets, ARTivity on the Green promises to be the most imaginative stretch of green space this city has ever seen. Designed to encourage further development on N. Liberty Street and to be a bridge between the Arts District and Innovation Quarter, 2 of the most dynamic areas of the City of Winston-Salem. The Merry Merry Month of May 2015

First Friday Gallery Hop MayDay, Friday May 1st saw the monthly DADA Gallery Hop. It was a beautiful evening and lots of people came out to enjoy gallery show openings.and artist receptions. Arts on Sunday Festival

The Arts on Sunday festivals sponsored by AFAS, Art for Art’s Sake, continue to be one of my favorite series of events in Winston-Salem. The festivals take place every Sunday in October from 1 to 5 pm. The 500 and 600 blocks of Trade Street, along with a portion of the 200 block of 6th Street is the site for all the action.  The streets are lined with artists and craftspeople showing and selling their creations. Join us tonight for the BIG CELEBRATION “Arts Underground” 7-11pm at the The Millennium Center! Set to reflect Paris Bohemian Decadence in the 1920’s with live entertainment, food, poets, mimes, fire dancers, French accordion player, magician, silent auction, cash bar, coffee shop and more!
